According to statistics on fishery production in 20 provinces across the country, from January to August 2024, the total output of aquatic products in China was 39.7291 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.07%. Among them, the marine fishing output was 4.2554 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.61%; The production of marine aquaculture reached 14.9124 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.01%; The freshwater fishing output was 503,700 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.23%; The output of freshwater aquaculture was 20.0577 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.07%.
