Major adjustment of overseas aquatic enterprises' registration in China

On September 3, 2024, the China International Trade Single Window issued a notice on "Registration of Overseas Food Production Enterprises for Import on September 4, 2024". The notice states that according to the requirements of the business department of the General Administration of Customs, the registration of overseas production enterprises for imported aquatic products will be optimized and upgraded.

According to the requirements of the business department of the General Administration of Customs, the registration of overseas production enterprises for imported water products will be optimized and upgraded, as follows:

1. Adjust the elements of enterprise registration filling, so that enterprises do not need to fill in information related to product codes such as "HS code" and "CIQ code" when applying for registration or change.

2. Overseas aquatic product production enterprises that have been registered in China display their registered product information as "aquatic products". The enterprise can view the products that can be exported to China through the "Products Registered in China" section of the "Comprehensive Query - Registered in China" aquatic product enterprise registration information.

3. For other adjustments such as "production type" and "production processing capacity (tons/year)", please refer to the system interface.
