Guangzhou Airport Port salmon imports boom

Recently, China Southern Airlines flight CZ2530 successfully flew from London to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, carrying 12 tons of salmon, bringing the delicious taste of the Atlantic Ocean to domestic consumers. Since the beginning of this year, China Southern Airlines Logistics in Guangzhou has ensured an increase of more than 270% in imported salmon year-on-year.

As living standards continue to improve, consumers' demand for high-quality ingredients is growing. As a high-protein, low-fat healthy food, salmon continues to rise in demand in the domestic market. According to data from the 7th China Salmon Industry Development Summit Forum, China will be the fastest growing market for Atlantic salmon consumption in the world in 2023, consuming a total of 108,000 tons of Atlantic salmon, making it the world's eighth largest market for Atlantic salmon, with huge potential for continued growth.
