The report shows that in 2023, the crayfish aquaculture area was 29.5 million mu and the output was 3.161 million tons, an increase of 5.36% and 9.35% respectively year-on-year, continuing to maintain rapid growth. The crayfish aquaculture output accounts for 9.26% of the total freshwater aquaculture output in China. Among them, the comprehensive cultivation area of rice and crayfish is 25.3 million mu, and the output of crayfish is 2.75 million tons, accounting for more than 80% of the national crayfish cultivation area and output.
