2023 Ornamental fish industry and market in China

In 2023, the national ornamental fish industry output value was 11.899 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.28%. Among them, the output value of freshwater ornamental fish was 10.216 billion yuan, with Guangdong and Shandong producing 2.511 billion yuan and 1.836 billion yuan respectively, accounting for 42.54% of the country's total freshwater output value; the output value of marine ornamental fish was 1.684 billion yuan, with Guangdong producing 1.396 billion yuan, accounting for 82.90% of the country's total marine output value (see Figure 7-1). The output value of the ornamental fish industry in Guangdong and Shandong accounts for 48.54% of the country's total ornamental fish output value.
